Do you know the Ripollesa sheep? Do you know which the differences are between this ovine autochthonous sheep from the north-east of Catalonia in contrast with other sheep? Come to visit the farm Mas Marcè and discover the project of ecological ranching that this family is developing in Siurana. You will be able to know the workshop, the room where they milk, the farmyard (where will be able to take a little lamb of 4 weeks old) and the fields where the sheep herd. The returning path will bring you to a small pond and next we will check the way the farm obtains renewable energy. You will end the activity with a tasting of 5 cheeses, curd, yoghourt, wine from the Empordà, water and a slice of bread with biological oil from Mas Marcè.
If you feel encouraged you can also widen the activity and take part in a shearing workshop, a workshop for the elaboration of the Catalan “mató”, or a wine-pairing with designation of Origin Empordà!
